Carey Morton was born in Piedmont, South Carolina. Morton received his BFA at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina and is currently pursuing his MFA at Clemson University. Morton’s sculptures are made from a variety of materials that include wood, steel, clothing,  oil, glass, charcoal, latex, moss, and various other objects.
